Blankets of Benevolence

In December, 2022, I embarked on a journey to beacon of warmth for the shivering and cold villagers around Bangalore. As my primary motive, I hoped to provide at least 250 blankets to those in need and I can say, with pride, that NMHM did so.

Purpose

Distributing blankets to villagers on the outskirts of Bangalore

I believe, no one should suffer due to lack of basic necessities, such as a warm blanket during cold weather. By distributing nearly 250 blankets in December 2022, I aimed not only to protect these vulnerable individuals from the harsh winter, but also to show them that they are seen, they matter, and they are not alone. The smile on their faces and the hope in their eyes is the driving force behind my efforts. Through this program, I continue to affirm my commitment to eradicating hardships and making life a bit more bearable for those who are often overlooked by society.

IMPACT

My targets were two villages in Karnataka’s Kunigal Taluk. These villages nestled on the outskirts of Bangalore are smitten by the harsh cold winter every year and people were suffering for lack of warmth. In this light, I hoped to give them some relief and easen their already hard lives.

EXECUTION

My sustainable funding through micro finance and from the resources donated by the people and companies which we are affiliated with, enabled me to acquire the blankets and successfully give it to the people in need of them.

FUTURE

Following this successful excursion, I hope to continue to develop such programs and help people in need. I strongly believe that everyone has an equal right and should have equal opportunities in this world and I will do my best to make a positive contribution to today's society.
